A recent study on improvisation (Felsman, 2020) confirms what some of us believe to be true about DvT. Namely, that improvisational play can increase our tolerance to uncertainty, boost mood, and promote divergent thinking and creativity. We will review this study with regard to the pathway it offers to researching the benefits of DvT and experiment with exercises designed to vary structure, our capacity to adapt to change, online and in person. We will also examine one way in which DvT functions as a method of inquiry (Living Enquiry). My robot alter-ego will disrupt the play from time to time just to confuse the process.
